Playing to large crowds on the world’s biggest stages, influencing millions of people, flying around in a private jet and having fans constantly ask for your autograph—if Arnold Palmer wasn’t a rock star, you wouldn’t know it from the company he kept.

Palmer was friends with and a fan of musicians such as Darius Rucker (a PGA Tour ambassador and Arnie Award winner), country legend Vince Gill, popular band Rascal Flatts, crooner and golfer Don Cherry and many others. Arnie even shared the stage with Melissa Etheridge in 2005, at an event in which both discussed surviving cancer. There are guitars on the walls of Bay Hill Club & Lodge autographed by some of music’s biggest celebrities and given to Palmer over the years—gifts from one rock star, to another.
